What is in the base kit?

Universal Electronics Box

The base Milo v2 kit doesn't come with the control electronics required to run the machine. This is a deliberate decision to enable people to take their own path however the UEB add on provides everything you need to get your kit up and running at full speed.

Contain that mess and make clean-up a breeze. Looking to upgrade your electronics or fed up of flipping Milo over to work on them? Casa also has an enormous electronics bay protected from the mess and with room for all of the mods you desire

Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about Milo V2 and accessories

No milo V2, the UEB and Casa do not come built. Each one of these is a DIY kit that requires assembly - It's part of the fun!

Building a DIY CNC mill requires a blend of mechanical, electrical, and software skills.  Whilst you can start with no prior knowledge of any of these things you need a willingness to learn.

On the software side the millennium team have put a lot of effort into making MilenniumOS built on RRF (assuming you choose to add the UEB kit). It combined modern CNC control functionality with the option for a "CNC for beginners" mode which helps guide the user through the process.

If ever in doubt ask. CNC mills are inherently dangerous when used incorrectly and therefore the discord and DMS helpdesk has a no stupid questions policy!

100% this is an open source project. Whilst doing your own thing for the either the enclosure or the control electronics requires a high degree of knowledge the community actively supports such builds and will welcome questions! CAD is available for the mill on GitHub and the UEB wiring diagram should be a great starting point for your control electronics research!

YES! Milo V2, Casa and UEB all require printed parts. The STLs are available on their GitHub pages.

Currently DMS does not offer printer parts kits for these as standard however reach out because I can do a low volume quantity of printed parts kits on request.
